This site does not use profiling or advertising cookies. It only stores a few technical items in your browser (one session cookie, local storage and session storage), each needed for a feature you use: language, theme, layout, your anonymous Fragments ID and similar. None of them is used to track you across other sites. The full list is below.

If you leave a comment, like, or save a Fragment, that action is stored in a database, linked to your anonymous session token — no account is required. Your session token is stored alongside your comment solely to allow you to delete it later, and alongside your saves so you can find them again in the "Saved" view. When you post a comment, like, or save a Fragment, a notification email with that activity (including your name and message, for comments) is sent to the artist so they can see engagement — this isn't shared with anyone else. You can delete any comment you've posted by tapping the trash icon next to it.
If you write to Nilk through the contact form, your name, email address, and message are sent directly to the artist's inbox. This information is not stored in any database.
This site uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count visits and measure page performance. Both are cookieless: they store nothing on your device, do not record IP addresses and only produce aggregated statistics. Data is processed by Vercel Inc. as a hosting provider.
Videos are played through the YouTube player in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing from YouTube is loaded until you choose "Play here" or open a link meant to start the video. From that moment, Google may store data on your device and receive your IP address, according to its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). If you prefer, you can listen on Spotify, Apple Music or Amazon Music instead.
If you use karaoke mode, your microphone and camera (if enabled) are used solely within your browser session. No audio or video recording is ever uploaded to any server. All processing happens locally on your device. Any recording you create is permanently deleted when you close or refresh the tab, unless you choose to download it yourself.
All the items listed above are technical: they are strictly necessary to provide features you explicitly use, so under Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority's guidelines they do not require consent, and this site shows an informative notice instead of a consent banner. You can delete them at any time from your browser settings (site data / cookies); the site will keep working, but preferences and your Fragments likes and saves will be reset.
You can delete your own comments at any time using the trash icon in the Fragments section. To request deletion of other data, or for any privacy-related question, contact: nilk.sound@gmail.com
